Colds and Flu: It's Not Over

We're inching closer to spring, but cold and flu season is not over yet. You can catch a cold or the flu at any time of year, but it's more prevalent in winter, when we spend more time in close proximity with other people (a.k.a. germ-bearers!) and in warmer, drier air. Not only that, but rhinovirus--the germ that causes colds--can linger on surfaces in your home and in public. When someone suffering from a cold touches a doorknob, remote control, or bathroom faucet, they leave behind critters that can stay alive for days, lying in wait to infect the next person who touches that item or surface. So be vigilant about cleaning, especially if someone in your home is ill. And as always, keep washing those hands and using hand sanitizer when you're out!
