My look back at 2010 ends with a look forward to the new year. 2010 ended with several questions on the minds of wrestling fans that we are all looking forward to getting the answers to. According to my email inbox, you are all looking forward to finding out exactly who Michael Cole is quoting every Monday night, and when we will be seeing Triple H and the Undertaker returning to action. In addition to those questions, a few wrestling personalities have some important decisions to make as well as a judge in North Carolina that will be deciding the fate of the current TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

2010 Wrestler of the Year

The winner of this year's award did it all. He held the WWE Championship, starred in a movie, caused a top star to retire in frustration over losing to him, was fired, and also helped make a group of unknown wrestlers the most dominant faction in recent WWE history. The runner-up made the leap forward from a mid-card star to a main event star.

2010 was a year of change in the world of professional wrestling. WWE said goodbye to several stars and in their place a new crop of main eventers stepped up to the challenge to replace these legends. Over in TNA, a new regime took control of the company both backstage and in the storylines. Some of the other stories that made this list were the kayfabe firing of one star and the legitimate release of another one. 2010 Match of the Year

Last year, the winner of this award was a WrestleMania bout between Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker and the runner-up was a TNA match involving Kurt Angle. I think there must be a glitch in the Matrix because I am definitely experiencing a case of déjà vu.
