The structure of a page can cause News crawl issues very well.
Please ensure that you either have unique numbers in your URL or/and (preferably "and") you submit a
news sitemap in your Google Webmaster Tools account.
A unique number in the URL means that each and every article has to
have a unique ID in the URL of the specific article, and which ID
consists of at least 3 digits, but preferably more. This ID has to be
unique to the site, you can't use it twice.
For example:
If one of your article's URL is
http://example.com/my-article-title-123456 , an upcoming article's URL
has to be something else ie.
http://example.com/my-new-article-title-123567.
At least the digits has to differ and this number can be anything which
strikes in your mind from the UNIX timestamp to a 3-digit unique
database record anything. Again, if you have more than unique 3 digits
in your article's URL, that's not an issue, if you have less than 3,
that is.
Please submit a Google News Sitemap in your Webmaster tools account and see whether it solves your issue. Since you have redesigned the website, the crawler probably has some issues identifying the articles, if it has a source (News Sitemap), it can match the data found on the website with the data found in the source.
If it does not, please post again or bump somehow this thread.
