There are many sights to see and regions to visit in the huge state of Alaska. An escorted land tour is one of the many options to consider when choosing your Alaska travel experience. Gray Line of Alaska provides a great selection of Alaska travel packages, ranging from self-drive to fully escorted. Last summer I enjoyed their Escorted Great Land Explorer tour, spending time at such highlights as Fairbanks, Denali National Park, Kenai Fjords National Park, and Anchorage. We traveled by luxury motor coach and the Alaska Railroad, taking in the amazing Alaska scenery in worry-free comfort. If you'd like to see the best of Alaska without the stress of planning out each detail of your lodging, transportation, attraction tickets and schedules, food, parking, luggage handling, and all those other pesky logistical things, an escorted land tour is for you. I've put together a review of this 8-day, 7-night Escorted Great Land Explorer package so that you can can get an idea of what you can experience on your own Alaska adventure.

According to a recent issue of the snowmobile-enthusiast magazine SnoWest, four of the top 10 trails in the West are located in Wyoming. The four fabulous snowmobile trail systems are the Continental Divide Snowmobile Trail (CDST), the Snowy Range trail system, the Big Horns trails system, and the Alpine trail system (which is part of the North Wyoming Range). Printable PDF maps for all of these snowmobile trails are now available through Wyoming's Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources. You can also order hard copies of these detailed maps.
