Known Issues with Google Accounts

Creating an account

Page refreshes when trying to create an account

Try entering the letters in the word verification box again. If this doesn't work, make sure you have cookies enabled. If cookies are enabled and the page refreshes, try clearing your cache and cookies. Learn more

Account creation page doesn't load after clicking 'Submit'

Make sure you have cookies enabled. If you have cookies enabled but the page refreshes with no error message, you may need to clear your browser's cache and cookies. You can also try filling out the form in a new browser.

CAPTCHA (word verification) not accepted after multiple attempts

Try entering the letters in the word verification box again. The word verification step ensures that a human is filling out our form, not a computer program.

Never received the email I requested from Google

Try checking your Spam or Bulk Mail folders. If you don't find the email in these folders, add accounts-noreply@google.com to your address book, and request another email.

Signing in

Getting an "invalid email address" error

You may be accidentally putting an extra space in the middle of your username (if you use Gmail) or your email address (if you don't use Gmail). Sometimes this happens if you copy and paste your email address from another location. Read more
