The Role
Marketing Operations is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of operational strategies and processes that enable effective planning, development, achievement, and measurement of Bloomberg¿s marketing goals and objectives. These operational strategies include: managing and supporting annual and quarterly marketing planning process; developing in concert with business unit marketers an effective marketing measurement and metrics framework; and developing a marketing dashboard summarizing marketing investment and program effectiveness (ROI). We are looking for a professional to support our Marketing Planning and Analysis process. As a member of this team you will be responsible for interfacing with central marketing leaders, business heads, and business unit marketing leaders, operations, and finance/accounting. You will be required to be an expert in marketing planning, understanding ROI models, marketing measurement and metrics and budget management.

1. Marketing Planning¿ Integrate with the business planning process and work closely with the central marketing team, business unit heads, and business unit marketing leaders to improve, codify and exercise a dynamic marketing planning process. Implement the marketing planning process and tools to establish goals and objectives, strategies, priorities, targets and key performance metrics annually and quarterly. Ensure marketing plans are aligned and integrated with business goal attainment. Conduct analysis of potential synergies across plans and audiences and make recommendations to increase marketing investment leverage. Produce ad hoc, quarterly and annual reports on performance against plans.
2. Marketing Metrics ¿ Develop and maintain a marketing dashboard of key performance indicators that measure the effectiveness of various marketing programs/channels and establish linkage with business goals in conjunction with business unit and central marketing teams. Monitor, analyze and provide decision support/recommendations for optimizing marketing program effectiveness to ensure objective/target achievement and improved ROI.
3. Marketing Processes ¿ Develop and own key marketing processes to create a high performance organization. This person will be responsible for designated marketing processes, leading development and buy in sessions across marketing and other stakeholder departments. Scope will include ensuring implementation and adoption.

Requirements:
- Expertise in efficient and effective marketing strategy and planning
- Prior experience developing marketing strategies and plans
- Experience managing a marketing planning process
- A strong cross-functional and process orientation and proven project management skills to translate ideas and projects into repeatable processes to drive marketing productivity and effectiveness
- Exceptional written and oral communications skills (including presentations), as well as listening and interpretation skills
- Excellent analysis and problem solving skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to be self-directed while managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and projects
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and ability to exercise excellent discretion and judgment when dealing with confidential information
- High energy, results oriented with a high sense of urgency
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
- Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills
- 7-10 years experience in marketing, consulting or a combination
- An undergraduate degree required and advanced degree preferred
