The Role
Bloomberg's M&A; data group is seeking a data analyst to assist with the coverage of the private equity market and related corporate actions. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting market analyses on a periodic and topical basis. The analyses will be based on Bloomberg¿s data sets, financial models, announcements as well as discussions with market professionals. Responsibilties include monitoring deal flow and equity issuance on a real-time basis, developing and maintaining relationships with external financial advisors, market professionals, as well as internal departments. The successful candidate will be comfortable taking initiative in a highly interactive, time sensitive environment, and have the ability to multi-task.

Qualifications
- Bachelor¿s Degree in Business or equivalent experience (Finance preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge & interest in financial markets, advanced M&A; and IPO concepts, valuations, and practices
- Outstanding written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Excellent attention to detail & ability to work in a high volume & time sensitive environment
- Experience with working with a variety of constituents (financial/legal dvisors, underwriters, traders, reporters)
- A self-starter; proven ability to take ownership & initiative of projects
- Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, MS Office a must; Familiarity with Bloomberg a plus.
