Georgetown University Law Center has long relied on a tradition of private giving to offer the best legal education to our students and continue the pursuit of social justice throughout our community and around the world. Gifts from alumni and friends support a comprehensive array of legal programs and services, nourish creativity in the scholarship and teaching of law, encourage academic research, and assist students and recent graduates as they manage the financial burdens of their legal education. As you contemplate an investment in Georgetown Law, please consider how your gift could benefit the Law Annual Fund, help grow the endowment, build new campus facilities, or establish your legacy at the Law Center, and in doing so, help support the next generation of Georgetown lawyers.
Law Annual Fund Every year, thousands of alumni support the Law Annual Fund and in doing so, ensure that ongoing needs at the Law Center are met. Whether your gift is $50 or $5,000, a Law Annual Fund contribution provides critical support for operating and programmatic expenses, including but not limited to the clinics, Edward Bennett Williams Law Library, Loan Repayment Assistance Program, and Equal Justice Foundation. The Law Annual Fund also ensures that students receive a first rate legal education regardless of economic circumstance by providing vital scholarship aid.
Endowment Gifts Gifts to Georgetown Law's endowment provide essential long-term financial support for scholarshis, professorships, chairs, academic programming, and a variety of other important initiatives at the Law Center. Your endowment gift contributes to the Law Center's financial base, which provides the stability and longevity of resources needed to fully implement a long-term vision for success at Georgetown Law.
Capital Projects
Supporters of the Law Center may also choose to contribute to capital projects. Although the Campus Completion Project is now finished, naming opportunities are still available in the 125,000-square foot Eric E. Hotung International Building and the 60,000-square foot Sports and Fitness Center. We encourage you to explore these new facilities through our website or with a campus visit.
Planned Giving Legacy giving is essential to the successful development of the Law Center. The foresight of alumni and friends to plan future gifts to the Law Center allows us to make decisions with the confidence that funding will be available for strategic priorities. Georgetown Law offers many options for creative gift planning that allow you to provide a substantial gift to the Law Center, while realizing significant financial benefits. Georgetown's Law Legacy Society honors those alumni and friends who have recognized Georgetown Law in their estate plans or made other planned giving arrangements with the Law Center. Please visit the Office of Planned Giving's website to learn more about the many planned giving options available at Georgetown Law.
Ultimately, in whatever way you choose to support the Law Center, please know that we are grateful for your generosity and loyalty to Georgetown Law. The Office of Alumni, Development and Public Relations is available to provide more information on giving opportunities at Georgetown University Law Center.
