Georgetown University Summer School offers over 250 exciting undergraduate and graduate courses during four summer sessions to both Georgetown and non-Georgetown students.

Pre Session: May 24 to June 18, 2010
First Session: June 7 to July 9, 2010
Second Session: July 12 to August 13, 2010
Cross Session: June 7 to July 30, 2010


QUICK APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

ARE YOU A GEORGETOWN STUDENT?

Follow these easy steps to enroll:

  1. Browse our course catalog and select the courses you’re interested in. Be sure to write down the course names and numbers.

  2. Pre-register for the courses you’re interested in through MyAccess.

  3. Once your registration is approved by your dean’s office, you will be officially enrolled. You can view your registration status through your MyAccess account.

ARE YOU A VISITING STUDENT?

Follow these steps to apply:

  1. Browse our course catalog and select the courses you’re interested in. Be sure to write down the course names and numbers (e.g. AMUS-101-10).

  2. Apply online or download and complete our paper application (.pdf format) (.doc format).

  3. Mail your official transcirpt and completed application (if using print version) to our admissions department.

  4. Once you are admitted, you will receive an acceptance letter which contains your login credentials and instructions that you will use to register for classes online through MyAccess.

SYNOPSIS OF SESSIONS

Pre Session
The Georgetown University Summer School will offer courses in an intensive four-week session (May 24 - June 18). The objective of such an abbreviated session is mastery of a single subject by means of concentrated full-time attention. Although the schedule of each course will vary, generally there will be about 2 or 2 1/2 hours of class daily, five days a week. Students may enroll in only one Pre Session course, and the deadline for payment is May 7, 2010. Late registrations will be accepted on May 24, but a $80.00 late fee will be charged. See Synopsis of Important Dates for other Pre Session deadlines.

Two Five-Week Sessions
The First and Second Sessions are five weeks in duration (June 7 - July 9; July 12 - August 13). Most courses are offered in these two sessions. Courses offered during the FIRST Session can be identified by the section numbers 10-19 (the last two digits of the course number). Courses offered during the SECOND Session can be identified by the section numbers 20-29 (the last two digits of the course number).

Cross Session
The Eight-Week Cross Session begins on June 7 and ends on July 30. Courses offered during the Eight-Week Cross Session can be identified by the section numbers 30-39 (the last two digits of the course number).
