About UIS: Technology at GeorgetownUIS operates under the direction of the Vice President for Information Services and Chief Information Officer (CIO), with guidance from various advisory groups. The Vice President and Chief Information Officer reports to the Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of the University, and works closely with the university provost, and the senior academic leadership of the Medical School and Law Center. The Vice President and CIO is a member of the senior executive team and the President's Cabinet. To assist in this process, the staff of the Office of Information Services (OIS) focus on strategic and financial planning, strategic initiatives, as well as the policy areas related to information technology, while UIS carries out daily technical operations, including the development and support of information technology infrastructure, and assistance and support for the user community of faculty, staff, and students.
