Welcome to the Office of Residence Life!

In Residence Life, our purpose is to educate students in a variety of ways including advocating student involvement in the residence halls, educating students in interpersonal communication and managing conflict, taking pride in their community, and responding to student behavior.

Whether helping an individual student with a question or concern or programming for the thousands of students living on campus, we continue to strive to enhance the services and experiences of the residential students living on the Hilltop.

Our Residence Life staff comprises 13 live-in professional staff, 88 Resident Assistants, one Community Assistant and five live-out staff. In addition, our partnerships with both the Chaplains in Residence and Faculty in Residence programs further enrich the residential experience for students.

We are proud to support the leadership development of students through their involvement in InterHall, Residential Judicial Council, ERASE, Project Hilltop and Alumni Lounge Programming Assistants.

Leadership development is also prevalent in our Living & Learning Communities (LLC). Living & Learning Community themes include Justice & Diversity in Action, Culture and Performance, Muslim Interest, Global Living, and Living Well.

As students living on the Hilltop, we expect a commitment to the highest standards of honesty and personal integrity both inside and outside the classroom; to treat others in a respectful manner, inclusive of differences such as race, religion, nationality, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation; to open discourse and the free exchange of ideas; to exercise mutual care and responsibility in all relationships; and to an active concern for the safety, security, and well-being of each individual and a respect for individual, communal and university property. Furthermore, we expect students to be actively engaged in their own personal growth.

Whether you choose to participate in one of the hundreds of programs the Residence Life Office implements each year or choose to participate in clubs and organizations, we encourage you to find the involvement that is right for you. These years will be exciting times for you and we hope you enjoy living in this vibrant community.
