Nominations Now Open for 2011 Alumni Awards

The Board of Governors Awards Committee has announced its annual call for nominations for the Georgetown University Alumni Association’s Service Recognition Awards: Apollonian (Dental), Founders (Medical), Gaston (Undergraduate), 1820 (Graduate) Reed (Board of Governors) and Faculty, as well as the John Carroll Patrick Healy Award and Timothy S. Healy, S.J. Awards. Nominate someone today. The submission deadline is July 26 at 5 p.m. EDT.

Cancer Geneticist Julie DeLoia To Be Interim NHS Dean

Julie DeLoia, a cancer geneticist who specializes in ovarian cancer, will become the interim dean at the School of Nursing & Health Studies July 1, when current Dean Bette Jacobs concludes her service after 11 years at the school.
