Welcome to Georgetown Giving

The Catholic and Jesuit ideal of service to others is embodied in the compassionate way Georgetown students contribute to their campus, their communities, and the world. As alumni, they remain committed to this ideal wherever their lives take them in a multitude of pursuits.

When alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents, and friends give to Georgetown, they help the university fulfill its commitments to academic excellence, research, community service, and keeping a Georgetown education accessible and affordable.

Georgetown has launched an important new effort to increase scholarship support for undergraduate students and preserve its tradition of excellence. The 1789 Scholarship Imperative seeks to raise a minimum of $500 million by 2014 for the Georgetown Scholarship Program. Gifts of any size to the imperative will fund scholarships counted in increments of $25,000, which is the average need-based scholarship award one student received this year. Nearly half of undergraduates demonstrated the need for a scholarship this year.

The Georgetown Fund is the best way to help support the imperative; all gifts to the Georgetown Fund will fund undergraduate need-based scholarships.

Giving to Georgetown helps the university fulfill its mission and President DeGioia's vision of investing in the potential of every student who merits admission to Georgetown – today and into the future.

Giving is Georgetown, and Georgetown giving starts with you.
