Georgetown University

For Federal Agencies

GU-EHLS students offer:

  • advanced English proficiency
  • fluency in a critical language
  • college degrees
  • professional backgrounds
  • international experience

Our program offers many opportunities for federal agencies, government contractors, and non-profit organizations to meet and work with potential job candidates.

Open Source Analysis Project:
Our program requires scholars to complete an open source analysis project that will be presented to an audience of representatives from federal agencies. The project topics have been solicited from federal agencies that work in the open source analysis arena. Scholars are matched (language and professional background) with the topics which they will research through open sources in English and their native language. Scholars will produce a concise report that lists and analyzes their findings on the topic as well as present their findings in an Open Source Symposium at Georgetown at the end of Session 3 of the EHLS program. The audience includes recruiters and analysts from federal government agencies.

If your office works in the open source analysis arena and would be interested in providing an open source analysis topic and an analyst mentor for the 2011 Analysis Project, please contact Myra Shulman, EHLS Academic Coordinator.

Guest Lectures:
An important aspect of our program is the emphasis on real-world knowledge. Share your expertise with our students through guest lectures. If you work in the defense intelligence area and would be willing give a guest lecture that offers insights into that field or provide an HR recruiter to discuss working for your agency, please contact the EHLS federal POC, Patricia Wood.

Recruitment Sessions:
At the end of our program, our students will seek to fulfill their service requirement in the federal government. If you are a recruiter for a federal agency and would like to meet with our students, please contact the EHLS federal POC, Patricia Wood.
