Welcome to the UIC Oak Park Project Home Page

The Department of Urban Planning and Public Affairs at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is collaborating on the development of planning tools and products that citizens and the Village may use to study and improve existing business districts.  The two sites tentatively selected are the Harrison Business Area (along Harrison between Austin and Elmwood) and along Oak Park Avenue between Jackson and Lexington.  The process will be inclusive and participatory-- enabling those involved to actively shape the plans for these districts.  We invite citizens to provide comments on the project and the work as we begin this yearlong collaboration.
