Welcome

Welcome to the Ushahidi wiki, where we keep track of information about the platform and engine we're creating. As a team, our prime goal is to create a free and open source platform to crowdsource crisis information.

The Ushahidi product road map history and future will help you to familiarize yourself with where we have come from and what the future holds in store.

Getting Involved

Ushahidi grew out of the collaboration of Kenyans during a time of crisis, and we strive to continue collaborating with our wonderful volunteers. This section will contain the a list of the tasks that we need help with and will be a resource for Ushahidi volunteers.

Developers can click here to find out about our development tools and how to get started. If you are interested in writing client for the Ushahidi engine, check our API Guide.

Ushahidi is also seeking tranlators to help in localizing Ushahidi, as well a rapid response team to deploy Ushahidi instances within 24 hours of a major crisis.

If you would like to get involved in the project in whatever way, please contact Erik [at] ushahidi [dot] com
