Asian American Student Association serves as a forum in which those interested in Asian American affairs at Georgetown University can exchange ideas and experiences. AASA hopes to build coalitions with other Asian and minority organizations at Georgetown, as well as organizations interested in Asian-American issues.
Through programming and events, AASA hopes to explore the Asian-American identity, examine issues that the community faces today, and celebrate the achievement and contributions of Asian-Americans to society. AASA hopes to provide outreach to the Asian-American community in DC, as well as partner with national organizations located in DC that work to advance the civil rights of Asian-Americans, celebrate the diversity of our community, and promote educational opportunities. AASA is a political, educational and cultural organization.
