Not long after the devastating earthquake hit Haiti, Stephanie Hanes and Stephen Sapienza traveled to the Dominican Republic, the country next door. The Dominican Republic has a large and often marginalized Haitian population. Many of the Haitian migrants work in sugarcane fields and face racism and exploitation every day.
