Anup Kaphle

Anup is an award-winning multimedia journalist who currently works for the Washington Post. His work has appeared in theAtlantic.com, The Globe and Mail, Forbes.com, The Kathmandu Post and Nepali Times among others. Before joining the Washington Post, Anup was a digital media fellow at the Atlantic, where he helped edit and launch new online features and websites for the Atlantic.

Anup received the 2009 South Asian Journalists Association Reporting fellowship to report in Afghanistan where he was embedded with the British and Canadian troops. His video "From Himalayas to Helmand" was published in the Atlantic, and featured in the New York Times Lens blog.

Anup has an M.S degree (specialized in new media) from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, a B.A. in English from Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tennessee.
