Stress test of European banks

23/07/2010 The Committee of European Banking Supervisors, CEBS, has today published the results of a stress test of the European banking system. The stress test has been conducted to assess the stability of the European banking sector. The four major Swedish banks have participated in the test and the assessment is that they are well equipped to deal with unexpected events.   Read more

Updated agreement on crisis management, preparedness and supervision in the EU

22/07/2010 The authorities with responsibility for financial stability in Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway have now signed the agreement on cooperation in the field of cross-border financial stability that was entered into by authorities in 27 EU countries in the summer of 2008.   Read more

Sveriges Riksbank is Sweden’s central bank and a public authority under the Riksdag, the Swedish parliament.  The Riksbank is responsible for conducting monetary policy, the objective of which is to maintain a low and stable level of inflation. The Bank also has the task of ensuring that payments in the economy can be made safely and efficiently.
