Career Education Center Mission and Values

The Career Education Center teaches students and alumni how to identify career opportunities that suit their individual strengths and interests and equips them with resources for life-long career management as confident, self-reliant professionals.

Vision Statement

As an invested partner with faculty and staff, the Career Education Center engages Georgetown students at the crossroads of academic learning and professional life. Our professional staff is committed to helping students identify meaningful ways to apply the talents they have honed, through study and service while at Georgetown, to the world of work. To that end, the Center aims to foster self-reliance in all of its constituents by providing a safe environment for self-exploration. Further, we offer students a comprehensive set of programs and services that enable them to research career fields and prepare for a variety of opportunities. Through our work we strive to:

• Empower students by providing the basis for lifelong career learning;
• Satisfy employers by preparing candidates thoroughly; and
• Support Georgetown University's mission by placing its graduates in an array of community, national and global service positions.
