Can I access BBC iPlayer on my mobile phone?
BBC iPlayer is only available on mobile phones within the UK. How you can access programmes depends on your phone and network. Programmes can be played through a wi-fi connection and, for 3 UK or Vodafone contract customers, over a 3G network. The BBC is working to make BBC iPlayer available over more 3G networks.

What each heading means
- Stream catch-up TV & radio: Watch or listen to programmes while connected to the internet.
- Stream live TV & radio: Watch or listen to simulcast live broadcasts. Note that you will need to be covered by a TV licence to do this.
- Download catch-up programmes: Download TV or radio programmes over wi-fi to watch/listen to later without needing an internet connection. If you download a programme, you can watch or listen to it for up to seven days. Devices that don't currently support the digital rights management (DRM) system that we use for BBC iPlayer can't download programmes to watch or listen to later.
- Access via 3G: Stream live or catch-up programmes via 3G as well as wi-fi. This is currently only available for contract customers on the Vodafone and 3 networks. It's not currently available for Apple or Android devices.
- BlackBerry: Mobile iPlayer is only enabled for the Bold 2 (9700) & Storm 2 (9520/9550) handsets. Users should download the BBC iPlayer Shortcut App from www.bbc.co.uk/mobile/bbapps/ to ensure that iPlayer works correctly.
