Sarah Stoll, associate professor of chemistry, received a $197,547 grant from the National Science Foundation to fund the acquisition of an X-ray powder diffractometer. The equipment, which will be shared by chemistry and physics researchers, helps scholars and students characterize solid-state materials, especially nanostructured materials. (from Newsmakers)
