Violent acts against women rise in Babylon

Hilla (NINA)- Babylon police source announced that cases of violent behavior against women had risen in the province during the first 8 months of this year.

" 234 cases were recorded at police stations about using violence against women including 12 deaths and 112 serious injuries", the source said.

"Most women who had been victims of violent acts were aged between 20 and 45", the source added.

The source called on ad hoc institutions to study the reasons and motives behind the rise in these cases in order to find solutions and put an end to them./End/
