Baghdad (NINA)- Minister of Industry and Minerals Fauzi Franswa Hariri discussed with the Japanese ambassador to Iraq Shoji Ogaua future cooperation between the two countries.
"The Minister received at the headquarters of the Ministry in Baghdad the Japanese ambassador on the occasion of leaving his office in Iraq", a statement issued by the Ministry of Industry said.
"During the meeting, prospects of future cooperation between the two countries in the field of industry were discussed", the statement added.
"Minister of Industry confirmed the importance of making use of Japanese expertise in this field to uplift the Iraqi industry", the statement explained.
On his part, Japanese ambassador stressed the importance of boosting links of cooperation between the two countries and that he will work through his new post in his country on supporting all steps required to develop joint relations between Iraq and Japan and boost their partnership in the industrial fields in the interest of the two countries./End/
