Channel 4 has assembled 20 of the nation's best known and most loved comedians to appear in the spectacular, must-see, hot ticket Channel 4's Comedy Gala - to take place at London's 02 Arena on March 30th, and to be screened on Channel 4 in early April. This major event is promoted by Off the Kerb Productions and will be filmed by Open Mike Productions.

Channel 4 today announced that Alan Carr, Bill Bailey, David Mitchell, The Fonejacker, Jack Whitehall, Jack Dee, Jason Manford, Jo Brand, John Bishop, Jonathan Ross, Kevin Bridges, Lee Evans, Mark Watson, Michael McIntyre, Noel Fielding, Omid Djalili, Rich Hall, Rob Brydon, Ruth Jones, Sean Lock, and Shappi Khorsandi are in the star-studded line up confirmed to take part in Channel 4's Comedy Gala -making it the biggest live stand up show in UK history. Added to this Stomp will be performing two major routines with Alan Carr and Bill Bailey.

14,000 tickets for the starriest and funniest live stand up show in history will go on sale from February 12th - with all profits from tickets going to Great Ormond Street Hospital. For more information or details of how to obtain tickets, viewers can visit channel4.com/comedygala.

For those who aren't lucky enough to bag a ticket, Channel 4 will screen the two hour extravaganza in April, bringing viewers top quality stand up to the comfort of their living room, from all of the most famous faces in comedy, who have kindly given up their time and waived their fees to help Channel 4 pull together this amazing gala in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.

Channel 4's Comedy Gala was commissioned by Entertainment Commissioning Editor, Syeda Irtizaali. The show will be made by Open Mike Productions with Addison Creswell and Andrew Beint as Executive Producers, and Michael Livingstone and Anthony Caveney as Producers.
