Keothavong broke serve seven times in the match

British number two Anne Keothavong made an impressive start to her Luxembourg Open campaign with victory over Virginie Razzano. The Londoner, ranked 143, had lost her previous two meetings in 2002 and 2009 with France's world number 116. But Keothavong, 27, made a storming start before edging a closer second set to win 6-1 6-4 in one hour 17 minutes. She will face third seed Yanina Wickmayer of Belgium or Switzerland's Patty Schnyder in round two. "One of my better matches of the year," was how Keothavong described the victory. Meanwhile, 16-year-old Laura Robson has broken into the world's top 200 for the first time at 189 in the latest standings, making her the fourth-highest ranked Briton.
