How do I tune in?

BBC coverage will initially include the Benelux countries and adjacent parts of France and Germany.

Your digital radio should be able to automatically find services and tune between alternative frequencies. The frequencies used will vary from time to time and also throughout the day, but a main medium wave frequency (1296 kHz) will provide the core service for 18 hours per day (16 hours in September and early October 2005) every day.

If your radio loses the service for any reason, it will attempt to re-tune to another digital or analogue transmission which carries the same BBC programme.

Are other broadcasters providing services on digital radio?

Yes - you can find a complete listing of all the new digital radio services which are being broadcast on DRM on their click schedules page.
