The Department of International Health offers one of the few undergraduate programs in international health in the United States with unique opportunities for hands-on learning locally, nationally, and abroad.

The Bachelor of Science in International Health focuses on public health and health systems management, specifically emphasizing how the environment, culture, economics, and politics interact to influence health status around the globe.

While at Georgetown University, students learn from faculty experts who have had distinguished careers with organizations such as the World Bank, the Pan American Health Organization, and the World Health Organization. Students also collaborate with faculty on federally funded research projects.

A majority of alumni pursue graduate or medical degrees at top world institutions, including Georgetown University School of Medicine, Emory University Rollins School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health , and London School of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene. Graduates also work in medicine, law, public health, policy, and epidemiology.
