Hi to those of you Interested in the wonderful organization called AVODEC! I am a volunteer from the Church of St. Edward´s in Bloomington MN. I have been involved in projects in Jinotega Nicaragua for nearly 20 years during which time our church has had a relationship with Nuestra Señora de los Angeles, a church here in town and their more than 25 rural chapels. We try to do For the last 7 years I have been coming two to three times per year to monitor projects here, take pictures and look for new ideas. At first we worked directly with the church but since they aren´t always set up to do humanitarian and health projects I searched for an organization who could help me with this. Luckily I was introduced to Victorino Centeno, AVODEC´s director, and the rest is history! I was and am very impressed with their credentials, capabilities, projects, integrety and willingness to help me problem solve in my desires to help the poor in a non liturgical way. They are well connected with community leaders in the rural communities and know of the needs and struggles of the people there. They are good stewards of the monies they are allocated and I can sincerely recommend them as worthy recipients of the donations they receive. Right now we are working on well´s projects and an environmentally friendly cookstove project. I will write more about these in the future. If anyone would like to communicate with me my email address is:
