Togo floods kill 21

afrol News, 29 October - At least 21 persons have been killed and over 80,000 have been affected by the heavy floods hitting Togo. Neighbouring Benin still struggles to hand out aid after even tougher floods hit the country earlier.

afrol News, 13 October - Devastating flooding has affected nearly half the communes of Benin. According to the government, 700,000 people have been affected, including more than 200,000 people whose homes have been damaged or destroyed.

Floods hit 1.5 million in West, Central Africa

afrol News, 12 October - Nearly 1.5 million people have been affected by floods and 377 killed in Western and Central Africa, with Chad, northern Cameroon, Niger and Nigeria facing a serious cholera epidemic, relief officials reported today.

Libya crash "not terrorist act"

afrol News, 12 May - The Afriqiyah Airways flight from Johannesburg crashing at Tripoli airport today had not fallen victim to a terrorist act, the government of Libya was quick to emphasise today. At least 104 people were killed in the crash.
