afrol News / IPS, 3 June - A landmark court case, alleging that HIV-positive women were forcibly sterilised in Namibian state hospitals began this week in Windhoek's High Court. Human rights groups claim the practice has continued long after authorities were notified.

afrol News, 25 November - Some 100 children under five years of age will die today in Zimbabwe, a bleak statistic that is part of new social development data released by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the government, has revealed that the situation there for women and children has deteriorated in the past five years.
