Georgetown Pediatrics

Georgetown Pediatrics is a ‘Hospital for Children’ within one of the Nation’s best University Hospitals: Georgetown University Hospital.

Georgetown Pediatrics is proud of its ability to provide cutting-edge pediatric care such as ECMO (Extra-Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation or heart-lung machine), high frequency ventilation, brain surgery and liver, pancreas and small bowel transplantation while maintaining an environment of care that supports an active role of the patients and families in every day care decisions.

A team of nationally and internationally known pediatricians, pediatric specialists and pediatric surgeons provide a wide range of medical and surgical services to children who come here from all over the world.

Georgetown University Hospital has been consistently named among the nation's best hospitals, and is the first hospital in Washington, D.C. to have earned the prestigious Magnet Status recognizing superior nursing care. This status has been awarded to less than 2% of the nation's hospitals.

Georgetown's physicians have been devoted to the advancement and dissemination of medical knowledge since the establishment of Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1850. The Department's research program is one of the best in the nation. The education of medical students, residents, nurses and nurse practitioners is an important mission of the faculty of the Department of Pediatrics.

Your visit to our hospital should be as easy as possible. Below you will find a list of helpful links to hospital and patient information. For appointments and nursing inquiries, please call 202-444-KIDS (5437).
