Untreated surfaces in the north quickly turned icy as the front cleared during the early morning, then the risk of ice extended to the south of the UK before nightfall.

UK Review - November 2010
November was a month of contrasts as the first week saw some unusually warm days and nights and ended with the most significant spell of snow in November since 1965.

The barbecue summer failed to materialise and storms brought chaotic flooding to many parts of the United Kingdom in 2009.
