Ittihad comfortably defeated an unfortunate Alakhdar side by 2-0 at the June 11 Stadium to move into third place in the Libyan Premier League table, sending out a message to title rivals Ahli Tripoli in the process. They are now three points adrift of their crosstown rivals with two matches in hand. The title race is certainly hotting up.

LIBYA and Morocco have signed a framework agreement for cooperation and integration in the areas of sport and youth between Libya and Morocco. Eng. Dr Mohamed Muammar Al-Qathafi, chairman of the Libyan Olympic Committee signed on behalf of Libya, while the Moroccan Minister for Youths and Sports Mr. Moncef Belkhayat, signed for Morocco.
