Francesca Battistelli now has another honor to add to her growing list (Dove Awards Female Vocalist of the Year, Dove Awards Artist of the Year, Dove Awards Pop / Contemporary Album & Song of the Year) ... Franny has now written and performed a song for the upcoming VeggieTales DVD! "You Never Are" will be featured in the upcoming VeggieTales: Princess and the Pop Star release (due out August 13th).

Based on Jeremiah 1:5, ("Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.") the movie is about something we can all relate to, regardless of our age - wanting what we see someone else enjoying. Princess Poppyseed sees her own life as dull compared to the enchanted life of her favorite pop star, Vanna Banana. The family farm is nothing like the world stage. When Princess meets Vanna by chance on the playground and they realize that they look enough alike to trade lives, the secret mission is on! However, the grass isn't always as green as it looks from the other side of the fence. The girls both come to understand that the life God gave them was the one that he lovingly planned out for them.

About.com's Heavy Metal Guide, Chad Bowar was on hand last weekend to cover the Carolina Rebellion Concert in Charlotte, NC. Eighteen bands on three rock stages meant that he was in for an amazing day of music. In his words, "Skillet was really impressive. Their songs are good, and had some cool stage theatrics."
