Glitz, Just $10
Add some holiday sparkle to everything from little black dresses to red sweaters: this pack of glitzy bracelets from Old Navy (Buy Direct) will only set you back $10.
The set of silver-tone bracelets features three thin bangles, a beaded bracelet and a large faux-stone bracelet. Wear the all five together for a chic dressy look or mix and match. At this price, snatch one set up for your BFF, too. (Photo Credit: Old Navy)
Tall Women's Fashion: Heels in the Workplace
Our awesome contributing writer, Laura Williams, has written a wonderful piece about heels on tall women in the workplace.
This can be one of the trickier areas to navigate (since you don't want to show up in flip-flops or stripper heels), but Laura's got some great photo examples of what type of heels work best for the over 5' 9" woman in the office.
Love or Hate the New Pixie Haircuts?
Emma Watson has been showing off her adorable little pixie cut on the red carpet for the new "Harry Potter" movie and I think it's the best haircut she's ever had. However. I may be a bit prejudiced since I cut my hair in a pixie-ish style a few weeks ago (love it -- cute and easy.)
Emma's not the only celebrity who is loving the short hair trend: Ashley Simpson and Ginnifer Goodwin are also proponents of the super short hair cut. Even over-40 gals are getting in on the look, like model Veronica Webb. (Photo Credit, Clockwise from Left: Frazer Harrison, Gareth Cattermole, Michael Loccisano, Frederick M. Brown/All Getty Images)
Let the Parties Begin!
From office parties to neighborhood get-togethers, 'tis the season to get dressed up. I'm all about enjoying the holidays instead of getting stressed about what to wear, so that's why I recommend something versatile and easy like a cocktail dress, like this one pictured from Aidan Mattox (Buy Direct.)
The cocktail dress -- which is really just a dressy, after-five, short (which means anything but floor-length) dress -- comes in all sorts of fabrics (silk, jersey, beaded) and colors (Little Black Dress, red, metallics, etc.) It goes to everything from actual cocktail parties to formal weddings. What to Buy Now: Perfect Holiday Flats (Just $22.50!)
I'm crazy for this pair of ruby red flats from Old Navy (Buy Direct) and can see them with a great white blouse and black pants, leggings and a tunic or skinny jeans.
The beauty of flats this holiday is a) you can wear them to host a party and still be able to walk the next day and b) if the bubbly goes to your head, you don't have to worry about falling off 5-inch stilettos and breaking your neck.
This adorable pair also comes in pewter and navy, so snatch up more than one color. (Photo Credit: Old Navy)
What to Wear for Thanksgiving
Sure, there are lots of other things to be worrying about now (like, if you haven't even started defrosting the turkey), but I'm here to help you get over one big holiday hurdle: what to wear.
Thanksgiving around our ranch is more of a casual affair, but I still like have something of a dress code (no spurs allowed at the table, for example,)
Did I mention I love to cook? So one thing I've always got on during the holidays is an apron. I've got some fancy aprons (even a faux fur apron, believe it or not), but my vintage mother-daughter apron is still my favorite.
Would You Rock a Floppy Hat?
Headwear of all types makes great practical sense once the temps drop. But some hats -- like the wide-brimmed floppy hat -- go beyond function to add a boho vibe to everything you wear.
Everyone from Kim Kardashian to all the ladies shown at right are wearing floppies. Once of the cutest ways to pull off the wide-brimmed hat is to pair it with skinny jeans tucked into tall boots.
How about you? Would you wear this? (Photo Credit, Clockwise: WPA Pool, Francois Durand, Frazer Harrison (both, bottom)/All Getty Images)

What to Buy Now: Sparkly Dress
I love the look of this Aidan Mattox gold dress (Buy Direct) because of its easy fit and cold-shoulder feature. I really like that it's not sleeveless (sorry, but most of us don't have perfect arms) but it's still sexy.
I'd recommend this for girls with athletic builds (wide at shoulders, slim thought the hips). Probably not the dress for pear shapes (boxy dresses without some stretch don't usually work for this body type.) (Photo Credit: Nordstrom.com)
