Bonnie's Flashback Friday - Grey's, Lost, and Dexter

Friday January 21, 2011

Grey's Anatomy is really good, even watching it a second time and even several years later. I'm in the middle of season 4 right now and loving it!

I've also been rewatching Lost and probably not for the last time. It's such a great show that I imagine watching it yet again in another five or 10 years. Visit Lost Rewatch to read my rewatch analysis on the first 12 episodes.

But it's fun to watch past show that I haven't seen as well. I'm just about to the end of season 2 of Dexter, which is almost as good as season 1!

Sarah Michelle Gellar Returning to TV

Thursday January 20, 2011

She defined a generation by being the 'one girl in all the world who had the strength and skill to fight demons and vampires,' but Sarah Michelle Gellar is going to leave those glorious Buffy days firmly in the past as she embarks on an exciting new television adventure...

According to Vulture, SMG has signed on to star in a pilot for CBS called Ringer. The drama centers around a woman (SMG) who is on the run from the mafia and poses as her wealthy twin sister -- however, she soon learns that her twin happens to have a bounty on her head as well. Gellar will be playing a dual role on the show.

The series will be developed by Supernatural scribes Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder. Gellar will serve as the co-executive producer.

Are you excited to see SMG back on the small screen? Do you think this sounds like a good role for her? Sound off below...

Nielsen Families - - Who Are They? An Interview with a Real Nielsen Family

Tuesday January 18, 2011

How many times have you thought that if you were picked to be a Nielsen family, your favorite shows would never get canceled? I know I have thought that many times over the years as I've watched great shows get canceled in the blink of an eye. I have often said that if I was one of those Nielsen families, shows such as Jericho, Pushing Daisies and pretty much anything on the CW/WB would never have been canceled so early.

Have you ever wondered who are these elusive Nielsen families? Are they really out there?

Imagine my delight when I learned that one of my colleagues here at About.com had been a Nielsen family. Barb Crews, who runs our fantastic Collectibles site, was kind enough to answer all of my lingering questions about the Nielsen process...

2011 Golden Globe Awards - The Winners and Red Carpet Arrivals

Sunday January 16, 2011

Hollywood's golden night has arrived! It's one of the only awards ceremonies where you can catch movie stars Brad Pitt and Kristen Stewart at the same venue as television stars such as Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie) and Lea Michelle (Glee).

I have to admit that I am completely satisfied with this year's crop because continual winners such as Mad Men and Breaking Bad finally fell off their thrones and were replaced with the equally fantastic new series Boardwalk Empire. I think we may have a new perennial award winner with this series.

My favorite moment was when Chris Colfer (Glee) won for Best Supporting Actor - it was a truly genuine and touching reaction to a well-deserved award.

Did your favorite stars and shows take home the gold? Get the scoop on who won and then be sure to check out photos of your favorite television stars as they walked the red carpet.
