DAI’s Mark Gallagher to Host Training on Tax Policy Analysis
Author: DAI
Date: June 28, 2007

On July 9, DAI’s Mark Gallagher will host a seminar on tax policy analysis for U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) officers involved in economic growth programming.

The four-hour seminar, with country illustrations, will help participants understand the analytical tools that economists use to examine choices between tax policies, with particular attention to the common pitfalls in introducing tax incentives as part of tax policy reform.

The training is jointly sponsored by USAID’s Fiscal Reform and Economic Governance project—on which Dr. Gallagher serves as Chief of Party—and the Agency’s Office of Economic Growth.

Anyone interested in attending the training should contact Deputy Chief of Party Steve Rozner by email at Steven_Rozner@dai.com or by phone at (301) 771-7859.

For more details on the training, visit the Fiscal Reform and Economic Governance website, www.fiscalreform.net.
