Health Insurance Exchanges: What Can Work, Is Sustainable, and Is Affordable

David Riemer, director of the Community Advocates Public Policy Institute and a member of the Wisconsin Legislative Council Special Committee on Health Care Reform Implementation, will talk about how a health insurance exchange can be a powerful mechanism for lowering health care costs and improving health care quality.

He will share lessons learned by Dane County, Wisconsin’s health insurance exchange, which has been around for over 25 years, and will talk about how this program can be replicated in other cities.
