HoffmanBarak D. Hoffman is the Executive Director of the Center for Democracy and Civil Society. Prior to coming to Georgetown, Dr. Hoffman was a research fellow at the Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law at Stanford University. He has worked for the Federal Reserve, the United States Agency for International Development, and the United States Department of the Treasury. He received his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego, and his BA and MA in Economics from Brandeis University and Michigan State University, respectively.

BrumbergDan Brumberg is the co-director of the MA in Democracy and Governance program and Associate Professor of Government at Georgetown University, and is the special adviser for the United States Institute of Peace's Muslim World Initiative. He has previously served as a Senior Scholar Carnegie Endowment’s Democracy and Rule of Law Project, a Jennings Randolph senior fellow at USIP, a Mellon junior fellow at Georgetown University, and a visiting fellow at the International Forum on Democratic Studies.

Mujal-LeonEusebio Mujal-León is the co-director of the MA in Democracy and Governance program, Associate Professor of Government at Georgetown University, and director of the Cuba XXI Project. Professor Mujal-León received his BA in History and his JD in Law from the Catholic University of America and his Ph.D. in Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has also been a Visiting Fellow at the Center of International Studies of Princeton University, a Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, and was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Madrid. Professor Mujal-León was awarded the title of Caballero in the Order of Isabel la Católica in 1990.
