Before Your Move-In Day: Feng Shui Space Clearing Tips

Tuesday January 4, 2011
feng shui new home The New York Times has an interesting article in today's issue about feng shui and improving the energy in one's apartment for better luck. It tells the story of a New York city lawyer who hired a local feng shui consultant to space clear her new home.

Clearing your house of old energies is always important, and especially so before you move into a new space. No matter what quality of energy the previous owners left in your new space, it is always best to be on the safe side and clear the old vibes.

How do you clear the old energy and bring in the new? Use feng shui space clearing, it is much easier than it sounds. You can do a major space clearing before moving into a new space (or after any challenging events in your current home); you can also do weekly, or even daily quick space clearing steps.

Space clearing is easy, fun and enjoyable, trust me. If you are not a fan of smudging, you can use essential oils, or natural incense. Candles are always a must for purifying energy, and we all use candles anyways.

Space clearing is not just a good luck ritual, although, in a way, it is. It all depends on your view of good luck. Basically, it is about clearing your home on an energy level, just like you would clean it on a physical level. It is about creating the energy of a clean canvas on which you are free to write your own life scenario, rather than struggle with unwanted influences.

Try some feng shui space clearing in your home today, you will love it! Read more
