Although seasonal trends are seen throughout various collections, each designer has a unique take on these trends. Trenches, satin finishes, grey hues, scoop neck tees among other things are features in spring 2011 menswear. Mik Cire, Buckler, Rag & Bone, Robert Geller and Y-3 all incorporate these trends in one way or another. And here are what I would consider the best looks from these five great spring 2011 menswear collections.

It's baffling how super skinny jeans (and pants for that matter) on men have become a big fashion trend. Is this one of those things guys will look back on in horror and say "what was I thinking?!" I was in high school during the '80s so I know that sentiment all too well. On the flip side though, body-hugging jeans and pants can be a fun look if done right--think retro rock n' roll and urban hipsters. But is there an age limit to this kind of thing? Donald Pliner first opened a high end shop in Beverly Hills in 1967, but it wasn't until 1971 that he started to design clothing, shoes and accessories. Men's sport coats and blazers have become a wardrobe staple now more than ever. Guys are wearing sport coats with jeans in lieu of other outerwear, and I personally love the look, especially when worn in unexpected ways. Try a trim cotton blazer over a fun tee with jeans and some fun sneakers or a classic navy or black wool blazer with contrasting trousers.  Quite simply, any variation of a blazer, sport coat or suit jacket makes a guy look put together. It's always a good choice.

Most guys at the 2011 Golden Globes looked sharp and didn't get too wild or creative with their fashion choices. That's a good thing.
