My husband and I had a great experience when we stayed at Peregrine Pointe Bed and Breakfast outside Rapid City, South Dakota. The B&B; is fantastic, the innkeepers are friendly and helpful, and it's an easy drive to unforgettable sites like Badlands National Park, Custer State Park, Black Hills National Forest, and the historic town of Deadwood. This Peregrine Pointe photo gallery shows why we had such a good time at the inn.

Wilmington, North Carolina, nestled in the far southeast corner of the state, is situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Cape Fear River. Margi and Doug Erickson, owners of the C.W. Worth House Bed and Breakfast -- just three blocks from the city's Riverwalk -- dreamed of becoming innkeepers since they visited several bed and breakfasts as guests. Today, they operate the seven-room inn along with their cat Simon. Learn more about their Queen Anne bed and breakfast in this interview with the innkeepers of C.W. Worth House Bed and Breakfast.

San Benedetto del Tronto is a small town in central Italy, located on the country's east cost directly on the Adriatic Sea in the Marche Region. La Torretta Bianca (The Little White Tower) Bed and Breakfast provides travelers with nice accommodations to explore the nearby area's many attractions, including castles and forts, hiking trails in the Sibillini Mountains, historic architecture and more. The inn offers five guest rooms, one with a private bath (the others have "semi-private" baths), plus a mini-apartment.

Door County is on a peninsula on the easternmost side of Wisconsin. It's rich in history and home to many lighthouses. Visitors can also spend time in the numerous state and county parks found on the peninsula. Other local activities include fishing, picking cherries, hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. My husband and I traveled to Wisconsin to celebrate our anniversary one year, and we loved our time in Door County. It's a great place to visit in the summer, late spring or the fall. Here's a look at some of the many great bed and breakfasts in Door County, Wisconsin.
