Rat Lovers

Tuesday November 30, 2010

Have you submitted your Rat Show and Tell yet?  There are already a few submissions filled with advice, tips, tricks and more.  You can even upload a picture of your rat!  It's easier to do than you think.

Rats have many great personality traits that make them worthy to be bragged about.  Rats can be trained to do different things, understand causal relationships (when doing one thing causes a change in something else), and more.  What makes your rat so great?

New Pet Serval Harnesses

Friday November 26, 2010

If you have a pet Serval you know the abuse a harness or collar can take from your big housecat.

Normal cat harnesses and collars just aren't made for a 30 lb. cat that can leap up to 20 feet.  Thankfully, the line of Kitty Holsters made by Crazy K Farm now makes custom Serval harnesses.

These harnesses look great.  Their design is much different than any other cat harness I have seen, plus they are soft, breathable, and washable.  The harness is $44.95 and includes free shipping from their website.

A harness is a definite must for Serval owners who take their cats on walks.  Make sure your kitty stays safe while playing outside!

Wizardly Pets

Tuesday November 23, 2010

The wizarding world of Harry Potter is full of interesting pets.  Ron has a pet rat named Scabbers, Hermione has a cat named Crookshanks, and Harry has a Snowy Owl named Hedwig.

We all know how wonderful cats and even rats can be as pets, but what about owls?  They are not typically found as pets, and for good reason.  Why?  Find out in the new Pet Owls article.

Boa Finds Home in Car Engine

Monday November 22, 2010

A couple found a surprise under their car hood on their way back from a grocery store in California.

After a little oil loosened the 9ft Red Tailed Boa from it's grip on the car, animal control workers rescued him from the car.

Most likely this guy was attracted to the heat from the car engine, but where the snake came from is unknown.
