Chelsea Clinton (and Other Tall Celebs)
Chelsea Clinton has been in the news recently because her husband of six months quit his job to become a ski bum and moved out west or something. Well, that's certainly newsy, but the thing about Chelsea Clinton that I just recently read that shocked me the most was the fact that she was 5'9". I had no idea our former First Daughter was a tall gal, too!
If you, too, are on the tall side, you'll love reading contributing writer Laura Williams' wonderful articles about how to navigate fashion as a tall gal. This week she has the lowdown on tall celebrities, Michelle Obama (OK, I did know she was tall), how to wear a hat when you're tall and many more great tips for taller women. Let's All Get Stripe Happy
Prints come and go. But stripes will never, ever fail you. This year there are more stripes than ever in the marketplace (because not only are they timeless, they are now trendy.)
Some of my favorite striped pieces include this Kate Spade cardigan, left, (Buy Direct) that I would love to wear with a pair of the new wide-leg Gap jeans and the variegated stripe boatneck top from Splendid (so cute for leggings.)

Pretty Pastel Dresses for Spring
Whether you have a wedding to attend this spring, or some other special occasion, nothing fits the bill better than a pretty dress in a pastel hue.
Actually, lavender -- like the dress pictured -- has long been one of my favorite colors because it looks so great on everyone; the blush dresses I listed are also beautiful and (blush pink is one of the colors I think all women should wear more often.) (Photo Credit: Nordstrom.com)
Best SAG Dresses, 2011
What I've been looking for on the red carpet so far this year are some new ideas about what's modern to share with you. So who nailed it at the SAG Awards? Definitely Mila Kunis in that strapless red Alexander McQueen (that had a similar print to Michelle Obama's dress.) She wore it belted (which was a big trend on the red carpet) with long, loose curls. Modern ease: love it.

How to Wear a Belt
I've developed something of a belt fetish over the past year, collecting everything from a studded belt to a cool, hip-slung, hair-on-hide belt. The amazing thing is that once you start to wear belts, you begin coming up with all sorts of creative ways to rework your existing wardrobe.
A new belt is one of the least expensive additions to your wardrobe, and -- especially for working gals -- can make everything from basic blazers to cardigans look new when worn belted. See my 10 favorite ways to wear a belt and get inspired. (Photo Credit: Michael Loccisano/Getty Images)
Valentine's Day Lingerie Picks
Candy makes you fat. Flowers die. Only lingerie is the gift that keeps on giving for Valentine's Day.
Whether you buy it for yourself to spice things up (go girl!) or wait for your significant other to give it to you as a gift, I've narrowed it down to 6 picks that will appeal to everyone from the girl who likes to really heat things up, to the one who likes to stay cozy in pajamas.
One of my faves is this Betsey Johnson rose print chemise (Buy Direct) because it's such a pretty feminine cut and print. (Photo Credit: Nordstrom.com)
Hot for Bangs? Or Not?
Here's the thing about bangs: know that they cycle in and out of fashion every few years. Sometimes they are light and feathery, sometimes they are heavy and fringe-like. Women over 40 adore bangs because they are nature's Botox (guilty!); younger girls love bangs because there's something fun and flirty about them that changes up your entire look.
What do you think about bangs?
Get the Look of Michelle Obama's State Dinner Dress
Nobody expects First Lady Michelle Obama to turn up in something boring, especially at a big event like a State Dinner to honor Chinese Hu Jintao. But Michelle Obama's gorgeous red floral-print Alexander McQueen gown is getting raves from fashionistas everywhere for its color and silhouette.
Love the look as much as I do? I thought I had seen a similar print before (oversized floral with dark tones of black and red) and here I found a pretty Maggy London cocktail dress (Buy Direct) that would be great to wear as a wedding guest or any other special event. Best of all, it prices in at under $150 for us women with real budgets. (Photo Credit: Left, Win McNamee/Getty Images; Right, Nordstrom)
5 New Jeans to Try
I love jeans. If it were socially acceptable I'd probably wear jeans to absolutely every event in my life. So this season, I'm definitely on the prowl for fresh and new jeans like these J Brand flares (Buy Direct), left.
After seasons of skinny jeans, flares and wide-leg trouser jeans look like a nice change of pace. One of my favorite things about flares is that they balance out the bodies of us real women and makes us all look great (the width at the hem balances out hips and thighs - perfect!) Best and Worst of 2011 Golden Globes
Although the red carpet was littered with blah colors, long sleeves and thick bangs, one of the biggest trends of the Golden Globes was something we'd been whining for years to see: individuality. When the unique thing worked -- like it did on a stunning Anne Hathaway -- it was spectacular. When the experimentation didn't work -- like, say, on Halle Berry -- it was still a refreshing change from the cookie cutter looks (like long strapless gowns) that we've seen become accustomed to seeing. See the best and worst looks from the Golden Globes, then come back here to vote on your favorite (and least favorite) looks.
