Did Obama's Health Care Law Cause 6,000 Low Income Kids to Lose their Insurance?

Wednesday December 1, 2010

According to blogs.wsj.com, The Wall Street Journal reported last month that the United Healthcare Workers East decided to drop health care coverage "for the children of more than 30,000 low-wage home attendants." In the original paperwork sent to the employees it was mentioned that some of the loss of coverage was due to the new Obama Health Care Law.

This news has been a topic of interest among both supporters and opponents of the new health care law. Friday November 26, 2010

Operation Walk is a great organization that helps improve the lives of many that don't have access to medical care or insurance. Operation Walk recently performed surgeries on seven needy people in Los Angeles. Here is more about them from the Operation Walk website:

"Operation Walk is a private, not-for-profit, volunteer medical services organization which provides free surgical treatment for patients in developing countries (and occasionally in the US), that have no access to life-improving care for arthritis or other debilitating bone and joint conditions."

"Operation Walk also educates in-country orthopedic surgeons, nurses, physical therapists and other healthcare professionals on the most advanced treatments and surgical techniques for diseases of the hip and knee joints. This is done in conjunction with surgeries to help create a lasting contribution to patient care in developing countries."
