The F-22 Raptor fighter jet has been jointly designed and built by Lockheed Martin Corp. and the Boeing Company. The aircraft first entered service with the U.S. Air Force in 2005 after nearly 20 years of development. Despite the long development phase, the F-22 Raptor has quickly earned a sterling reputation in military and aviation circles around the world for its superior speed, manoeuvrability, situational awareness, and its combat capabilities.

Marine Works to Bring Iraqi Donkey Home

A former Marine colonel is fighting to bring a little four-legged piece of Iraq home, acording to a Marine Corps Times story.

John Folsom, who served as Camp Taqaddum's commandant in 2008, hopes to bring "Smoke" the donkey home to Nebraska to work with the children of veteran's who are struggling to cope with their parent's military service.

F-15SE Silent Eagle - Stealth Fighter Jet

The F-15SE Silent Eagle is a stealth fighter jet that is being developed by the Boeing Company. The F-15SE is being designed and built for the U.S. Air Force as a potential upgrade of the F-15E fighter jet. The original F-15 Eagle is a well known tactical fighter jet that first entered service with the U.S. military in 1976 and had a storied combat career.

Air Force Thinking of Changing PT Test

 Air Force brass will review the six-month-old physical training program when they gather this spring for their Corona meetings. Their main concern: when PT failures should go into an airman's personnel record, according to an Air Force Times story.

The service remains content with its decision to tighten PT standards, Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz told Air Force Times on Dec. 22. Airmen have responded with a higher-than-expected success rate -- 86 percent passed their test under the new regulations in November, and 46 percent of those scored a 90 or above.
