There is increasing recognition within the relief sector that communication with disaster-affected communities saves lives and increases the effectiveness of humanitarian responses. The BBC World Service Trust and Internews have been awarded a grant to provide support to aid agencies to improve their capacity to respond to the information needs of populations affected by disaster.
We are seeking a Head of Project who will manage the delivery of this high profile initiative. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of humanitarian relief agencies and practices with the ability to network, negotiate and liaise authoritatively with senior figures. The successful candidate will also have a commitment to media for development and be able to demonstrate extensive project management experience and the ability to deploy people and resources globally.
