The Democratic Piece is a collective blog affiliated with the Georgetown Democracy & Governance MA program. Readers may recognize our title as a word-play on the democratic peace hypothesis.

We write about about democratization, democracy assistance, patterns of governance, and prospects for change in autocracies. Because democratization is a process, TDP sometimes covers consolidated democracies too.
